Test description

An essential panel for understanding your reproductive hormone balance. Whether you're investigating cycle irregularities, planning for pregnancy, or approaching menopause, these markers tell the story.

Biomarker descriptions

Oestradiol

Oestradiol is the most active form of oestrogen. It plays a key role in the menstrual cycle, bone health, and mood. Levels fluctuate naturally but significant changes can affect wellbeing.

Progesterone

Progesterone prepares the uterus for pregnancy and helps maintain early pregnancy. Testing at the right time in your cycle can confirm ovulation and support fertility investigations.

FSH

Follicle-stimulating hormone triggers egg development in the ovaries. FSH levels help assess ovarian reserve, investigate irregular periods, and confirm menopausal status.

LH

Luteinising hormone triggers ovulation and supports the menstrual cycle. Together with FSH, it helps build a clear picture of reproductive hormone balance.

Prolactin

Prolactin is best known for its role in milk production, but it also influences the menstrual cycle. Elevated levels outside of pregnancy can cause irregular periods and warrant further investigation.

Iron Studies

Sample: Blood Turnaround: 2 days
Iron Ferritin TIBC Transferrin Saturation
Show details

Test description

Goes beyond a simple iron level to understand your full iron picture — how much you have in storage, how much is circulating, and whether your body can transport it effectively.

Biomarker descriptions

Iron

Iron is essential for making haemoglobin, the protein that carries oxygen in your red blood cells. This test measures the iron circulating in your blood right now.

Ferritin

Iron storage protein

TIBC

Total iron-binding capacity measures how much transferrin — your body's iron transport protein — is available to carry iron. It helps distinguish between different causes of iron imbalance.

Transferrin Saturation

Transferrin saturation tells us what percentage of your iron transport protein is actually carrying iron. Low saturation points to iron deficiency, while high levels can indicate iron overload.

Thyroid Function

Sample: Blood Turnaround: 3 days
TSH Free T4

Test description

Evaluates thyroid hormone balance.

Biomarker descriptions

TSH

Thyroid stimulating hormone

Free T4

Unbound thyroxine
